Central and Eastern Europe is a diverse, complex, and exciting region, and its no-longer-“emerging” markets range from fully functioning, democratic, and transparent, to highly complicated, authoritarian, and erratic. Opportunities for investors remain, but the 24 markets that make up the region are unique, with separate legal and regulatory regimes, investment climates, and judiciaries.
